Looking For A Gauss Meter That Can Produce A Heat Map Visualization
I have been playing with permanent magnets for a personal project lately and would really like the ability to visualize the magnetic fields with more detail than the green viewing films can provide. I was thinking today that the ideal output for a gauss meter would be something like the Flir camera heat map; seeing a full-color gradient of magnetic fields as they change from North to South (rather than just density of flux) would be extremely useful.
Does anything exist to allow direct visualization of magnetic fields like that? A quick Google search didn't turn up anything but I have to imagine this is not a novel idea. Thanks for any help.
