Airport drainage design in flat fields
One of the major issues of designing drainage systems in extremely low slope grounds (Almost flat) is the heavy cost of providing standard slope for the longitudinal drainage pipes. And the lower the ground's slope, the heavier the cost of excessive excavation.
Are there any alternatives? Solutions that can lower the costs/ ease the execution process?
The project at hand is an airfield with less than 0.02% longitudinal slope.
Any help regarding this subject will be appreciated. (Related references, projects, possible solutions, etc.)
