Interview question I had trouble with
Was asked this as a theoretical question, and I still can't reason out what the answer should be.
If you have two cups of hot coffee at t=0, and pour a small amount of cold milk into the FIRST cup at t=0, and do nothing to the second cup. After some time (t=t1 – the coffee has not reached room temperature so heat transfer is still occuring), the same amount of cold milk is added to the SECOND cup, and the temperature of both cups is measured.
What is the temperature in each cup (relative to each other/environment)?
Thanks for your answers 🙂
