Fracking in an area with old coal mines?

Fracking in an area with old coal mines?

Hi, i'm from the UK, not an engineer or anything – that's why i'm here. I live in an area that has had a lot of historical mining (coal clay etc). Under my village there are a lot of 18th and 19th century coal mines. To mitigate any potential problems some of the more modern houses have been built on concrete rafts. The older houses haven't. We've just learned that we're having fracking tests in nearby fields (approx 500 metres from the edge of the village). What i'd like to know about are potential effects of the drilling on the stability of the mines and the buildings above them. Any help would be appreciated.
