Could use some guidance with a new job

Hey everyone! So I recently started a new job as a General Engineer in a DPW on a US Army base. This job will have a LOT of estimating. I realize estimating isn't exactly engineering but I'm coming from a job where I spent 2 years as a civil engineer for a site development firm. I have very little experience in estimating and I was hoping r/engineering had some peeps whom have some experience or knowledge in the field and could lend guidance, recommend any reading material or other sources on learning how to estimate efficiently for a civil. Thanks for reading and cheers!
