How do you find the design temperature of a water treatment plant?
I'm not sure if this is better suited for /r/EngineeringStudents but I figured it's fairly relevant for non-school.
My group and I (we're students) are tasked with designing a water treatment plant. We've been following the textbook for all the design criteria and calculations but have no clue what our temperature should be set at or how to find it.
How does one find the temperature in the industry? We're looking at a location in Southern California.
