The above image is not the exact machine, but it is very similar.

The conveyor in question is the one that has 4 white belts on it and currently has a ply of rubber on it. I am working with the same type of conveyor on a similar machine.

The problem is the belts run at different speeds, and should not. If I mark the bottom left corner of the rubber ply, and also the bottom right corner of the rubber on the 2 outer belts, when the conveyor does a complete cycle, the mark on the right belt will be 8 inches farther than the mark on the left belt.

Tension on all belts is equal.

The belts are running at different speeds but driven by a single motor. The result is rubber being applied unevenly.

Can someone help me identify this?

I'm trying to see if this still works but I can't find it anywhere online. I believe its an optical table leg but there are no markings on it other than whats in the picture so no model number. I looked up the company but they don't seem to have anything similar to this. Any help would be appreciated.

Help calculating burst pressure of a double wall vessel

This is my first time doing a double wall vessel, and I need to find the burst pressure of the vessel. From my understanding I need to use Faupel's Formula but when I search online all I can find is information for thin wall low pressure vessels. My vessel is comprised of two cylindrical vessels with interrupted plugs and their dimensions are

Inner vessel: ID1=3.15" OD1=7.975" SA-723 Gr3 Cl4

Outer vessel: ID2=8.00" OD2=16" SA-723 Gr3 Cl3

Operating pressure is 87kpsi and the test pressure I'm going for is 124kpsi (although I was told we can go down to 119kpsi per ASME code).

Is there anyone on here who is knowledgeable of such high pressure systems that can provide some help or knows in their network? Our current PE is very clueless about this project and has more question than answers when we reach out to him.

Knowledge of custom specification tire fabricators?

I’m looking for tires for a project that need to meet some pretty strict specifications with their inner and outer diameters. These aren’t usual tires so I can’t search for golf cart or ATV tires (I tried). Does anyone know of a company or retailer that does stuff like this?

Anyone used Brilliant.org or similar for brushing up on engineering skills?

I'm looking for a way of brushing up on some engineering skills which I feel could be improved. Have any Engineers used Brilliant.org or similar to do this?

Like many professional engineers, I don't do complex problem solving in my day-to-day work. Also, there are some areas of engineering which I've always (apparently) found more difficult to grasp than my peers (at university and at work).

Areas I've always wished I tried harder at uni are Structural Engineering, Fluid Dynamics and Complex Maths.

Are there any good online courses or websites other engineers have used and/or recommend?
