Pulley lifting a crate

Hi

I'm trying to build an elevator for my dog with severe arthritis with a pulley, a crate and a wooden frame. If I simply hook the pulley to the centre of the crate, it'll no doubt wobble when my dog walks on it. Doe anyone know how to hook to the crate to give it better stability?
